Student Travel Grants
We are very pleased to let you know that IEEE SmartGridComm 2015 provides Student Travel Grants (STGs) to broaden the participation of student authors. A limited number of STG awards of $500 are available. The awards are sponsored by IEEE ComSoc for students worldwide to attend IEEE SmartGridComm 2015 in Miami Florida. Starting July 28th, IEEE SmartGridComm 2015 will accept applications for STG awards.

The STG application should be submitted electronically via EDAS (direct link here). After logging into EDAS, click the “Travel Grant” tab at your EDAS home page and then select “Student Travel Grant for IEEE SmartGridComm 2015”. The application must include the following materials:

Eligibility Requirements of STG
- The applicant may be of any nationality and must be a co-author of an accepted paper in IEEE SmartGridComm 2015.
- The applicant must be a full-time student registered towards a Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering or related field in a college or university when submitting the application.
- The applicant must be a Student Member of IEEE ComSoc when submitting the application.
- The applicant must not have received an IEEE ComSoc STG in the last 12-month period when submitting the application and must not have received any other grants for attending the conference.
- During the expense reimbursement stage, the student applicant must show proof of having registered to attend the conference.
How to Apply
The STG application should be submitted electronically via EDAS (direct link here). After logging into EDAS, click the “Travel Grant” tab at your EDAS home page and then select “Student Travel Grant for IEEE SmartGridComm 2015”. The application must include the following materials:
- A reference letter from your advisor (your advisor can directly submit the reference letter on EDAS).
- Your up-to-date resume including your citizenship (required), ethnicity and gender (optional, used to broaden the participation of under-represented students).
- A half-to-one page letter to state the purpose of attending the conference.
